2013 Spring BEGINNERS Training Camp: May 9-11

Arrive Friday, May 9. Anytime after 4pm
Depart Sunday, May 11 for 11am

What’s included:
Accommodations (2 nights)
Food (Saturday night supper, Saturday lunch, snacks for the condo)
Coaching
BIKE-FIT
Bike Maintenance ( Changing a flat tire)

What’s not included:
Everyone is responsible for bringing their own breakfast food (this is easiest, as everyone has their own breakfast favorites)
Snacks for riding

Who the can attend:
This beginner training camp is for ladies who are still not comfortable riding with others. There will be 3-4 rides over the course of the weekend; that will cover different distances and level of difficulties. Whether you are just getting into cycling; first year or third year, cycling comfort is low. And would like some one-on-one coaching, this camp is for you. No one will be left behind.

Speeds will be from 20kmp – 25kmp. If you can cycle faster than the required speed, please consider the Advanced cycling camp, the following week.

There will be a review on how to group ride, riding etiquette, safety and more.  During the ride there will be discussions on bike handling and proper gearing.
As the coach, I will follow each of the riders instructing proper gearing, for the first two rides.

Weekend Schedule: ride length and start times are not official, these can change depending on the group and how everyone is progressing.

Friday:
Group ride 6-7pm: Coach will evaluate rides and give tips for improvements
Saturday: 2 rides
Am ride: 9-10:30am: Group Ride. Coach will ride with each rider for 30min, giving one-on-one feedback for improving skills
Pm ride: 2-4pm. Group ride
Sunday: Long Ride: 9-12
2-4hr ride before heading home

Depart Monday, May 19 for 11am

Speeds will be from 25kmp – 27/30kmp. No one will be left behind.

Saturday:
Pm ride: 12-3pm: Group Ride. Evaluation of the group and spending time with each rider for 30min, giving one-on-one feedback for improving skills

Sunday: 2 rides or one long ride
Depending on what the group wants to do. There is the option of a morning and afternoon rides

Monday:
Long ride: 10am
Check out at 11am
